Having recently been appointed as Chair, I am pleased to welcome applications for what is one of the most significant leadership roles in public regulation. The gambling sector is evolving rapidly, shaped by changing technology, consumer behaviours, and public expectations. Against this backdrop, the Commission’s role in keeping gambling fair, safe and crime free has never been more important. Our work has a direct impact on consumers, communities and the wider public interest across Great Britain.
This is an exciting time to join the Commission. We have ambitious plans for the future and a clear strategic direction, underpinned by our commitment to being an effective, evidence-led and outcomes-focused regulator. We are looking for a Chief Executive who can lead the organisation in delivering that ambition, building on our achievements and ensuring we continue to respond successfully to a rapidly changing environment.
The successful candidate will lead a talented and committed workforce, work closely with the Board and a wide range of stakeholders, and provide visible leadership for an organisation that operates at the centre of complex and high-profile public policy issues. They will bring strong strategic and operational leadership, sound judgement, and a deep commitment to public service.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to consumer protection, regulatory effectiveness and organisational performance. The next Chief Executive will be responsible for translating strategic ambition into delivery, ensuring that the Commission remains a respected, trusted and influential regulator.
